Title: Habitat Selection by Passerine Birds in Forest and Shrub Wetlands, Fairbanks, Alaska
Abstract: Bird surveys were conducted along trail systems in shrub and forest wetlands in Fairbanks, Alaska. Bird locations were overlaid on a vegetation map (classification system compatible with the National Wetland Inventory and the Alaska Vegetation Classification Systems) in order to develop habitat selection models. This project will identify bird species with specialized habitat requirements and habitat types that support high bird densities or high species richness.
