Title: A Study of Riparian Breeding Birds on Streams With and Without Anadromous Fish Runs
Abstract: This study is examining patterns of species richness and density of breeding birds in riparinan habitats with and without salmon runs. Preliminary results from point counts surveys suggest that avian density (but not species richness) is 15-20% higher in riparian areas with streams supporting salmon runs, compared to streams without salmon runs.
