Title: Birds of Cape Romanzof
Abstract: Following a brief reconnaissance in 1994, biologists from the Yukon Delta National Wildlife Refuge began a detailed inventory of the birds of Cape Romanzof in 1996. Work has included censusing breeding birds on a suite of randomly selected study plots in tundra habitats, conducting breeding bird censuses in two areas of riparian shrub habitats, breeding biology studies of Golden-crowned Sparrows and paleotropical migrants, inventories of cliff-nesting raptors, seabird colony censuses, fall mist-netting in shrub habitats, monitoring King and Steller's Eider migration in the fall, and documenting Spectacled Eider migration in the spring.
